About Me
I live in Rehoboth and keep my boat in the Swansea Marina. Been fishing since I was a kid from the coles river shores. I took a long time off from fishing when kids were born as I had to many hobbies and toys. Kids love the boat and fishing so perfect for me. I have caught a lot of fish but nothing to write home about in size.Been through a dozen boats in 5 years bit we think we finally have a keeper. It is a 26' Blackwatch w/ twin 250 Yamahas (as of 2012). It is named "Final- Final ?" hopefully this is the Final one for a while.....Typically fish weekends and days with my two boys aged 11 & 13, who both are pretty good deckhands and can navigate and set hooks. Saturdays or Sundays days we are usually found around Sekonnet Pt, Spar Island or in potters or spectacle coves rafted off....... Look me up I am usually out there... Hey, Rich. Great to hear from you. We're doing we'll down here. Kids are adjusted in school, with dance started and baseball on its way. I'm paying for all that great time off at school in Newport at work, but that was to be expected. In the end I hope this job will pay off for me career-wise. Missing RI and the team already, but hoping to make it up at least once this summer. Please pass our best to the family and the team. Colin
I'll post a picture when the snow melts and I can find it -uncover it-clean it-etc,etc,etc.
Hi Rich,
Unfortunately I'll be in the shop during those times. If you are around newport and don't feel like driving in I can sneak out and meet you somewhere to get you the bag. Let me know if that works for you. Thanks
sounds good i will be home june 14th for 3 weeks
Thanks Rich, last name is Chagnon. If you don't mind you can leave it at Lucky's. I go there often.
Hi Rich, Thanks for introducing me to the crew of the AIST. What an awesome group of people! Hope I can contribute toward the cup.
Hi Rich, I became a full time member back in march when I paid the 25.00. I seemed to have misplaced my membership card and lucky's discount card.
And, chase needs a second shot at a world record should be a stripper anyway!
The gramps caught 2 keepers yesterday afternoon. We need to get this ball rolling!
hey Rich. I saw your post, and that's strange. I sighned up on March 27th for the AIST. I got the receipt so if there's any confusion I can produce proof that i sighned up. let me know if there are any problems and I'll try to fix them.
Thanks Rich, i have been to the last two meetings and really enjoyed them, i have a boat and fish for stripers, tog, and fluke. I also like to fish out of a kayak in newport if i know the fish are around.
Yeah, I know.I was looking for comments on last nights meeting. Sara lives right on the canal so I know I will be casting in there eventually. Any info helps when you are out of your element.
hard to say.some guys got thier holes and bang big fish regularly.60-70-80 lbers arent the norm but they sure shake up the cup when someone does get one.i'm not knocking boats..hehheh,but taking advantage of the shore weight modifier in may and june i think shoots you up the leader board early while states south of us are already hittin cows with boats, putting a hurtin on us before we see good fish. its all fun n games til on the water double post's the same fish on the leaderboard.lol
i agree with wessels,7th aint doin it,in 2010 we were kickin it early into june then down we went.the team shore guys gotta get on the board early with big fish ,that weight modifier on a 40 lber will hold a long time on the list.moreover, when the weather gets hot at night alot of shore guys go on boats ,this killed us when some shore sharpies known for good fish opted to fish from boats.you know who you are....lol
ill keep an eye out for your boat this summer in the kicky, i got a 22' center console called "Castaway," i typically fish the Bristol Narrows when the pogies run in the spring.
Rich i will be signing up for the cup soon... I need a better performance then last summer...and we need better then freakin 7th place!!!
